Sugar cookies

Finally, I’ve found the best sugar cookie recipe – super soft, light vanilla flavor.

It’s delicious and keeps the shape of whatever cookie cutter you use. LoveLoveLove it!

Ingredients

  • Butter: 

    1 cup = 227 grams

  • Granulated White Sugar: 

    1 cup = 200 grams

  • Egg: 

    1

  • Vanilla Extract: 

    1 tablespoon

  • Baking Powder: 

    2 teaspoon

  • Flour: 

    3 cups = 384 grams

Directions

Let’s have some fun baking these cookies by cutting different cute shapes:

  1. Add butter and sugar to your mixer. I recommend you to use powder sugar. Cream the butter and sugar until it is completely mixed.
  2. Add vanilla and eggs and mix until completely incorporated.
  3. Add baking powder.
  4. Mix in the flour one cups at a time.
  5. Chill the dough, the cookies will bake better if the dough is chilled. I usually let the dough in the fridge overnight.
  6. Roll a handful of the dough out on a prepared surface and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter.
  7. Bake at 180 C degrees for 8-10 minutes depending on the size of the cookie.  Do not over-bake!
