Directions
I couldn’t wait until they were completely cooled and I highly recommend eating one when they are still warm!
I am so curious about you, to hear your opinion!
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Microwave butter half melted! Then stir with a fork or spoon until it’s completely liquid.
- Combine the butter with white and brown sugar just until combined. Add egg, vanilla.
- Add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt and mix all together.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Roll equal sized balls out of the dough and place on the prepared baking sheet with enough space in-between.
- Press them down to a thickness of a thumb. Place additional chocolate on top if desired.
- Bake one baking sheet after another for about 10-11 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let them cool completely.
Ready! Go and grab one, what are you waiting for?
The best choice to eat with: milk!

Poppy Seed Babka
Babka is traditionally filled with either walnut, chocolate, poppy seeds or a mix of cinnamon and sugar. But what makes babka truly special is the way the loaves are shaped: The dough is rolled up around the filling and then sliced down the length to create two long pieces streaked with filling. Twist those pieces around each other, pop them in a loaf pan, and you have babka in all its twisty, layered glory.
